To create a lightweight, nimble USA-made hiking boot that can stand up to extreme conditions, Danner collaborated with America's oldest search and rescue organization based in Hood River County, Ore. The Crag Rat Evo has a GORE-TEX liner for waterproof protection, and the engineered synthetic leather and textile upper features highly breathable and abrasion-resistant Perspair® side panels. An insulated Aerogel toe cap and crampon-compatible TPU heel clip keep you moving in very low temperatures.
Synthetic Leather and Perspair® Upper
The synthetic leather upper has side panels made of Perspair®. PU-coated nylon thread is woven to create a material that is extremely lightweight and breathable while remaining incredibly durable.
Waterproof GORE-TEX
100% waterproof and breathable, GORE-TEX liners ensure that no water gets in, while allowing sweat and moisture to get out.
PrimaLoft® Aerogel Toe Cap
Ultra-light toe insulation delivers targeted warmth in cold conditions. Used in NASA space suits, Aerogel traps micro-pockets of air without bulk and maintains insulation when compressed, so it won’t pack down over time.
Removable OrthoLite Footbed
Multiple layers of varying density are combined for maximum cushioning and support. The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation.
Vibram® Mulaz Outsole
The Mulaz outsole is made of a sticky rubber compound that provides optimal traction on rock, snow or mud while providing support and durability in extreme environments.
Crampon Compatible
The semi-rigid heel clip is crampon-compatible and is built to handle extreme temperatures and icy conditions.
TPU Mudguard
